I speak with Professor Sherry Colb of Cornell Law School along with one of her students, Jareb Gleckel about a recent article they have co-written about the ongoing, wide-ranging legislation that seeks to limit and in some case criminalize the types of labels that can be used for plant-based foods. We start with a decision that is commonly known as the Missouri Tofurkey Case. We have a lengthy discussion around the Constitutional issues that are brought up by this case and other cases like it. Sherry and Jareb also lead us through a discussion about the implications for these cases, and some potential alternative options for litigating these cases. It’s a fascinating and lengthy discussion that you’re sure to find informative.

Join Animal Law professor and longtime activist Mariann Sullivan as she unpacks the latest updates, cases, and news from the burgeoning world of animal law.
