I talk with Therese Lilliesköld about animals and domestic violence. we will be talking about Domestic violence against pets and how pets are used against children by abusers. we’re going to be talking about How to protect children from online abusers and how important it is for women’s shelters to be welcoming to the animal family members.

Guest: Therese Lilliesköld offers lectures and training on the connection between violence against children and family animals, cat behavior and cat protection, trauma in dogs and cats and family animals from an anthrozoological perspective. For pet owners, she offers cat behavior consultations and lectures.

She lives in Gnesta in scenic Sörmland with her family; sons Ruben and Vidar, the house cats Pocahontas and Panther, the guinea pigs Lily and Juni, the mixed breed dog Vera and the Salamander Salomon. The Link

Host: Marika completed her MA in Anthrozoology at the University of Exeter, UK in 2016 and upon moving back to the Seattle area of Washington state she joined the board of Homeward Pet Adoption Center. She also holds a University degree in Zoology (UW) and a CPDT-KA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

Now, host of The Deal with Animals, she enjoys chatting with people who know a lot more than she does about the various research disciplines of Anthrozoology as well as authors, nonprofits, professionals, and enthusiasts!
