Want my honest opinion? We don’t talk about cats enough. Both on the show and when it comes to animal rescue. Is it because there is a negative connotation of being the crazy cat person if you love on, care for, or rescue cats? Maybe.
But cats need our help just as much as any other animal! Yet, there appears to be a lack of inspiration for communities to get involved in cat rescues.
Luckily, today’s guest is tackling this issue (and myth) and explaining why taking action, no matter how small, is what will truly help move the needle forward in saving all animals, including cats.
Today I’m talking to Anna Dickerson-Homan, an animal rescuer and the founder and force behind The Kitten Factory. Anna is changing the game for what it means to be a cat rescuer and is spreading the word on the importance of getting more people involved in animal rescue and how she’s working to solve the issue of orphaned kittens.
In this kitten-heavy episode, we’re chatting about all things felines, including what sparked her passion for rescuing kittens, the hard work that goes into TNR, why caring about animals isn’t enough, and how to start taking small actions to move the needle forward for animals in need.
